A LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED ROSEWOOD, TULIPWOOD AND FRUITWOOD MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK 'REGULATEUR DU PARQUET' WITH CALENDAR AND MOONPHASE THE CASE BY ANTOINE FOULLET PARTIALLY REMOUNTED THE DIAL SIGNED ROBIN A PARIS; THE MOVEMENT SIGNED CARON A VERSAILLES; DIAL AND MOVEMENT PROBABLY ASSOCIATED, CIRCA 1760-1770 The case of typical form, inlaid with foliage overall, decorated with foliate cast ormolu mounts, the case stamped FOULLET JME , blue and white enamel chapters and centre, the centre with seconds ring and pierced and chased ormolu hands, the engraved brass dial signed Robin AParis , the arch with silvered and blued moonphase, calendar and two silvered subsidiary rings, rectangular apertures above for Jour de Semaine, Signe du Zodiaque and Index du Mois , the movement signed on the backplate Caron a Versailles , anchor escapment, weight-driven going train and single barrel for strike on one bell above, the countwheel connected to the intricate mechanism for calendar and moonphase with pierced star-shaped and spoked wheels, spring suspension with detachable steel and brass pendulum; one brass weigth, two door keys, winding key 221 cm. high overall
