A LOUIS XV ORMOLU QUARTER REPEATING CARTEL TIMEPIECE BY JULIEN LE ROI, CIRCA 1745-49 The foliate and c-scroll case surmounted by two doves with a winged cherub to the apron, the circular enamel dial signed 'Julien Le Roi', the brass movement stamped 'Julien le Roy, Paris', the single barrel movement with verge escapement, rack and snail on the backplate for quarter repeat, with repeat signature movement, the rear of the dial inscribed 'a.n./martiniere/1745/P.ner Du Roy' , stamped once with the 'C couronné poinçon', with a circular paper label 'ACCORSI PIETRO ANTICHITA TORINO VIA PO. 55', with a pendulum and key 30 in. (46 cm) high
