A MAGNIFICENT PAIR OF IMPERIAL LARGE FAMILLE ROSE VASES JIAQING IRON-RED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820) Each vase is of baluster shape and has an elegantly tapering neck that is applied with stylised archaistic dragon handles. The yellow-ground necks are decorated to each side with a large bat and chime above a stylised lotus bloom flanked by serpentine chilong . The ovoid body is finely enamelled with a continuous landscape scene depicting a procession of foreigners bearing tributes, all between bands of ruyi -heads above and below. 26¾ in. (68 cm.) high (2)
