Title: A Man from Corpus Christi: Or the Adventures of Two Bird Hunters and a Dog in Texan Bogs Author: Peirce, A.C. Place: New York Publisher: Forest and stream Publishing Co. Date: 1894 Description: [4], 257 + 15, [1] ad pp. (8vo) 20x14 cm (8x6"), blue cloth with gilt cover design and title, gilt spine. First Edition. In 1887 a Boston physician came to Texas for some bird hunting for ornithological purposes and found the perfect guide in John M. Priour, a true hair-on-hide Texan, full of good natured abuse.
