A MASSIVE AND VERY RARE PAIR OF HONGMU, HUAMU AND CAMPHOR COMPOUND CABINETS AND HATCHESTS, SIJIANGUI CHINA, LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY Each door inset with large huamu panels fitted flush around a removable center stile, the doors of the cabinet opening to reveal the shelved interior with two drawers above a trap door concealed by the lower front panel similarly inset with three huamu sections separated by vertical hongmu struts, all raised on thick hongmu legs in front and camphor legs in back, framing shaped beaded aprons and spandrels below 105 in. (266.7 cm.) high, 55 ¼ in. (140.3 cm.) wide, 25 ½ in. (64.7 cm.) deep
