A MASSIVE 'CHINA TRADE' DECOUPAGE AND POLYCHROME-DECORATED PLASTER FIGURE SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY The figure standing tall with a benign expression, the hair finely detailed and arranged in a chignon, wearing a red inner robe beneath an elaborately decorated blue outer robe with figural and floral motifs, the left hand clutching a checkered handkerchief and the other outstretched, previously holding a staff (now lacking), restorations to decoration, the outer tunic extensively refreshed, minor old repairs, on a 19th century simulated marble octagonal plinth base, redecorated 74.8 in. (190 cm.) high including plinth 51.2 in. (130 cm.) high without plinth
