A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE PART TEA AND CHOCOLATE SERVICE CIRCA 1738-40, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, GILDER'S 37. TO ALL PIECES, SOME PIECES WITH DREHER'S MARKS, SOME WITH PRESSNUMMERN , THE MOUNTS LATER Painted in the manner of Christian Friedrich Herold with Chinoiserie figures at various pursuits on terraces supported by double red lines, with Gitterwerk borders, comprising; A cylindrical chocolate-pot and cover, with a gilt spout and a terminal fitted with a turned wood handle, the cover with a hinged metal mount and gilt-metal cover A bullet-shaped teapot and cover, with an animal head spout, a wishbone handle and a gilt-metal chain attachment A shaped octafoil teapot stand A gilt-metal mounted baluster hot-milk jug and flat cover, the spout and cover with a hinged mount (chip to spout beneath mount) A circular sugar-bowl and domed cover, with a flowering branch finial (one petal lacking, very slight chipping to flowers) A rectangular teacaddy and cover, with indianische Blumen to the shoulders A slop-bowl Four coffee-cups (one cracked) Four teabowls Ten saucers, with indianische Blumen to the undersides (some wear to gilding)
