Property of an Important European CollectionA Meissen (K.P.M.) porcelain chinoiserie teapot and coverCirca 1723-8 of squat globular from with domed cover, stalk handle and curved spout with gaping mask terminal, painted in the manner of J. G. Höroldt with vignettes to each side, one of figure painting vases, the other with a family scene, within shaped oval cartouches enclosing Böttger lustre sections and issuing gilt and iron-red scrolls, the plain ground with scattered insects, the cover, handle and spout with indianische Blumen, underglaze-blue KPM and sword mark and gilt numeral 54 to teapot and cover12 cm., 4¾ in. high; 16.5 cm., 6½ in. long2 To view Shipping Calculator, please click here.Condition ReportOverall of good appearance. Minute re-touched chip to tip of spout and a small patch of wear to the gilding. The cover has two small chips to flange. Slight rubbing to rims, finial and to the gilder's numerals.
