A Meissen silver-mounted scent-flask and silver stopper Circa 1725, blue enamel crossed swords mark Of flattened globular pilgrim flask form with female mask-head handles, the lower part moulded with gilt gadrooning, each side painted with a harbour scene, merchants on quaysides before ships within gilt line quatrefoil cartouches with Böttger -lustre panels and iron-red and purple scrollwork, the stepped cylindrical neck with further scrollwork, the silver stopper formed as leaves, the silver mount to the foot chased with zig-zag pattern (minute chip to one mask-head, some rubbing to gilding and Böttger -lustre panels) 3½ in. (9 cm.) high
