A MEISSEN SILVER-MOUNTED TWO-HANDLED ECUELLE, COVER AND STAND CIRCA 1725-30, THE AUGSBURG DECORATION CIRCA 1728-35, DREHER 'S INCISED X TO STAND, THE CONTEMPORARY AUGSBURG MOUNTS MARKED FOR ELIAS ADAM Painted by Abraham Seuter in Schwarzlot with panels of figures, their faces, arms and hands enriched in flesh tones, the écuelle and domed cover each with three panels, the cover panels each with a lady shown bust-length, within silvered cartouches joined by silvered Laub-und-Bandelwerk , the stand with a lady seated in a garden, an attendant and a youth nearby, within a shaped circular silvered Laub-und-Bandelwerk cartouche, the rims and footrims mounted, the écuelle rim mount with two pierced scrolling strapwork handles embellished with foliage and shells (extensive wear to silvering between panels on écuelle and one diaper panel on cover, further more slight wear, stand with very slight wear) The écuelle 7½ in. (19.1 cm.) wide overall; the stand 7¼ in. (18.3 cm.) diam.
