A mixed-metal-inlaid bronze vase Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Takamitsu zo The vase of ovoid form with flattish shoulder and long, tapered neck, inlaid in gold, silver and shakudo with panels, on one side with a pair of egrets and moon, and on the opposite side with a pair of crows and blossoming cherries on a silvery ground, the sides inlaid in gold, silver, shakudo and copper hirazogan with snow crystals; signature on body 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high
