A Model Of The 80-gun Ship Warrior Anonymous, Early 20th century This full hull model, in the style of a Napoleonic POW model, has the hull built up from the solid with marquetry waist and painted a cream color around the gun ports. The bottom of the model is painted green. The deck of the model is of ivory which has been scored and has the deck planking drawn in India ink. The deck details are also modeled in ivory and these include the pin and fife rails, the capstan, the deck gratings, the turned posts for the railings, the chain plates, and other details. The model is fitted with a figurehead of a man, also carved of ivory and the stern is carved and decorated with gold floral motifs. The model is rigged with three ivory masts with standing and running rigging, turning blocks, deadeyes and other details modeled in wood and ivory. The model is on a mahogany base with an ivory name plate. 15 x 5¾ x 13½ in. (38.2 x 14.7 x 34.3 cm.) model dimensions.
