After 35 years, I have to tell you all my military gear has either worn out or been discarded. .... My medals and other decorations I continue to wear from time to time and at time of my death will become the possession of the Royal Canadian Military Institute for display in the museum. I have been able to locate a tie I used to wear. Officers in the Canadian Army always wear their tie - even in action. The tartan is Rob Roy our official tie. ... [Signed] F. A. Tilston’. Also sold with the handwritten envelope for the above, the video ‘A Vimy Veteran Remembers’, which includes an interview with Tilston V.C., a copied photograph and copied details of his miltary career and V.C. action.
