A Napoleon III Sevres Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Porcelain Mantel Clock, movement by l. marti, paris, the circular enameled dial signed Paris and set in a fluted columnar case surmounted by a baluster form urn with a celeste blue ground painted to show a courting couple in a landscape, the base worked to show a maiden and a putto bearing garlands, all raised on disk feet. Height 30 3/4 inches. Estimate $ 1,000-2,000 Property from the Estate of a Prominent Midwest Collector The lid possibly associated (color is mismatched) and with heavy glue residue. The body with rubbed gilt and light to moderate scratching to the painted decoration. One side of the urn with dark scratches or lines visible under glaze. Bronze with even, dirty patina; figures and mounts are loose. The dial with cracks and overpainting. No key, pendulum or bell. Duration or accuracy of timekeeping not tested.
