A Napoleon III tall cabinet Probably French, circa 1870, in the manner of Jean-François Oeben ebonized mahogany with brass stringing inlay, both cupboard doors decorated with gilt-bronze figures emblematic of the four seasons, the top with two female figures allegorical of Spring and Summer, the bottom with two male figures allegorical of Autumn and Winter, all within gilt-bronze encadrements, the doors opening to four shelves. height 62 1/2 in.; width 49 in.; depth 21 in. 158.7 cm; 124.5 cm; 53.3 cm
