A pair of huanghuali horseshoe-back chairs each wide curved crestrail composed of five members, set on straight back posts and curving front-and side-posts, with short spandrels above the flattened rounded terminals with a simple curved backsplat carved with gui dragon medallions and integral spandrels, the posts continuing through the seat frame to form the straight legs, secured by barbed and shaped aprons accented with leafy scrolls and beaded edge, with foot stretchers of ascending heights to the back 39 by 23 1/4 by 17 3/4 in., 99 by 59 by 45 cm
