A PAIR OF JAMES II SILVER TWO-HANDLED CUPS AND COVERS FROM THE WILSON TOILET SERVICE MARK OF THOMAS JENKINS, LONDON, 1688 Each cylindrical on circular foot, the body and cover later flat-chased with Chinoiserie figures holding musical instruments, parasols and emblems, in a landscape of flowering trees, pagodas and birds, with double scroll handles, each engraved with a mid-18th century coat-of-arms and crest, the cover engraved with a crest and with openwork finial, the bases with scratchweights 12-3-12 and 12-15-12, each marked on body, the covers with maker's mark only 4½ in. (11.4 cm.) high; 24 oz. 10 dwt. (770 gr.) (2)
