A PAIR OF ORMOLU-MOUNTED SEVRES PORCELAIN BLEU TAILLANDIER PORCELAIN VASES AND COVERS (VASES 'CANNELE A BANDEAU') CIRCA 1771, THE PAINTING ATTRIBUTED TO NICHOLAS DODIN, THE ORMOLU OF LATER DATE Each surmounted by a domed cover with ball finial, the shoulder and lower portion fluted and applied with gilt foliate bands, the front painted in the manner of Boucher with amorous couples in landscapes, the reverse with musical trophies, each reserved on the bleu nouveau ground gilt with oeil-de-perdrix , on fluted socle, the square base with a further laurel wreath 15¾ in.
