A PAIR OF SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS with signed brass barrels, engraved tangs, signed bevelled border engraved brass locks with sliding safety-catches and engraved cocks (one replaced), figured walnut full stocks (repaired) carved with a shell behind the barrel tangs, full silver mounts cast and chased with rococo shells, flowers and foliage in relief and including escutcheons engraved with initials JB, spurred pommels each with foliate cap, and pierced side-plates (one trigger-guard repaired), turned silver ramrod-pipes, and silver-tipped wooden ramrods (one replaced), by Joseph Heylin, Cornhill, London, London silver hallmarks for 1768, maker's mark of John King 13¾in.
