A PAIR OF SUPERB RUBY AND DIAMOND EAR PENDANTS
A PAIR OF SUPERB RUBY AND DIAMOND EAR PENDANTS Each suspending a cushion-shaped ruby weighing approximately 4.18 and 5.01 carats, within a cushion-shaped ruby surround, to the square-cut diamond link weighing approximately 1.54 and 1.58 carats, joined by a brilliant-cut diamond surmount, mounted in white gold, 4.3 cm long With reports nos. 0706501 and 0706502 dated 28 June 2007 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 5.01 and 4.18 carat rubies are of Burma origin with no indications of heating. This colour variety may also be called "pigeon's blood red" in the trade; accompanied by a note stating that the large rubies of top gem-quality in the present market are rare With report no. 0710511 1 to 18 dated 26 September 2007 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the eighteen rubies weighing approximately 34.63 carats are of Burma origin with no indications of heating (2)
