A pair of Victorian silver seven-light candelabrum Mark of Alexander Macrae, London, 1873 Each with baluster shaped stem on domed base raised on four grotesque mask feet, with beaded and fluted borders and chased with flowers and foliage on a textured ground, with panels of foliate scrolls, applied with caryatids, dolphins and satyrs, and chased with cherubim, the six foliage-capped branches each cast and chased with grotesque masks and strapwork, and with central light, each light with detachable vase-shaped socket cast and chased with panels of gods and goddesses between ram's masks and strapwork, with detachable octafoil drip-pan chased with floral and foliate scrolls, and detachable shaped circular partly-fluted nozzle with fruiting vine border, each marked on base, nozzles, drip-pans, and sockets 27¼in .
