A POTSCHAPPEL DRESDEN PORCELAIN PRESENTATION VASE WITH COVER AND STAND (Prunkvase) , Carl Thieme factory, gilt, painted in colours and naturalistically modelled in relief, the bulging balustroid body painted to the front with a Renaissance period gallant couple within a garden, to the back with a bunch of Deutsche Blumen , both scenes surrounded with a string of flowerheads in relief, both handles modelled as telamones with a Marie Antoinette-type headdress, the shoulders with a galleried rim, the cover en suite with a flowerbunch finial, the quadrupod stand painted with florettes, marked with the initials CT above Dresden , late 19th Century (damaged) 73.5 cm high
