Persia, 19th Centuryof rectangular form, comprising fifteen tiles decorated in polychrome on white ground with a ruler seated on the floor, standing attendants, and courtiers seated on chairs, the foreground with an incense burner, serving vessels and fruit, the background with foliage, a mountainous landscape with buildings, and drapery, enclosed within a lobed niche, the spandrels with a pair of simurghs, the border with floral and foliate vine motifs, framed
