from the school of the Charles Bruguier workshops, 1825-35, the circular six-pillar top-wind fusee movement with the seven-groove chain wheel and spring barrel under tooled gilt fret panel, blued sprung ratchets and pivots, the top plate inscribed ré paré par Charles Bruguier á Genevé, 1852, the underside of top plate with CPG /WG 5/3/81, the chain cover with Pere par Levi Piguet Genevé, 1897 (rubbed), the spinner loafer with W. Galhall, London 764, and the underside of base plate stamped with 5, with eight-cam stack and the bird with predominant tones of turquoise, blue and dark brown feathered plumage with iridescent highlights of lime green, purple and orange, moving bone beak, wings and tailfeather to birdsong pivoting through a full 230 degrees, rising through pierced and tooled gilt grille, in silver-gilt and enamelled engraved case, the full enamel domed lid with central canted-corner panel of a spray of flowers on clipper blue ground with feather-banded turning beneath, top and base bosses of floral heads on tan ground opposing leaf-curls on dark green ground, the edge with stylised leaves and scrolls, floral and ribbon wrapped lid border, the lid interior with seven-point circular boss framing similar floral spray on clipper blue ground, the rococo C scrolls highlighted with white enamel and accented with alternate shield and leaf infills, the main body with banded edges with similar floral and ribbon wrapped moulding, the top with tooled figure-of-eight scrolls with intertwining flower stems and cobalt blue enamel highlights, one of which is a void for access to male winding stem, on wave-line ground, the theme repeated to the sides in gilt with helical-slant wave-line ground, and the underside with concluding central floral spray in gilt and radiating concentric circle and quintuplet arrow-point tooled ground, the yellow metal start/stop slide to the right-hand side, (minor losses to cobalt enamel highlighted scrolls), with a key, in a later fitted case baring Camerer Cuss & Co., London label - 2.7/8in. (7.2cm) diameter, .15/16in. (2.5cm) high
