A RARE DINGYAO CARVED DISH NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY, 11TH-12TH CENTURY The dish has shallow rounded sides that flare to a slightly everted rim, with metal mount, and the interior is finely carved with a coiled chi dragon encircled by two leafy stems, each bearing a single flower. The interior and exterior are covered with a glaze of ivory tone that also covers the base, and falls in pale olive tears on the exterior. 6 3/8 in. (16.3 cm.) diam.
