A RARE EMERALD AND DIAMOND RING
A RARE EMERALD AND DIAMOND RING Set with a cushion-shaped emerald, weighing approximately 7.63 carats, flanked by old-cut diamonds, weighing approximately 3.03 carats and 3.02 carats, mounted in platinum, ring size 5 ¾ Accompanied by premium report no. 80970 dated 29 June 2015 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the emerald is of Colombia origin, with no indications of clarity modification; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the natural emerald possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The emerald exhibits a highly vivid green colour, combined with an excellent clarity. Due to complex geological formation processes Colombian emeralds usually contain small fissures, thus eventually affecting their purity to a certain amount. It is thus very exceptional to find an emerald from Colombia with virtually no fissures at all. Based on its outstanding quality, this emerald has been named poetically ‘ The Dream of Colombia ’ . A natural emerald from Colombia of this size and excellent quality is very rare and exceptional Report no.15067165 dated 25 June 2015 from the Gü belin GemLab stating that the emerald is of Colombia origin, with no indications of clarity enhancement and that this emerald is virtually free of fissures and fractures and is thus not susceptible for clarity enhancement. Such emerald are very rare; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the natural emerald possesses a saturated and homogeneous colour, combined with an exceptional degree of transparency. In addition the pleasant shape and finely proportioned cut generates many vivid, internal colour reflections which complement its beautiful appearance. Colombian emeralds of this size and possessing such a high quality with a complete absence of any clarity enhancement are very rare Report no. CS 84633 dated 3 June 2015 from the AGL American Gemological Laboratories stating that the emerald is of Classic Colombia origin, with clarity enhancement: none; also accompanied by a letter and jewelfolio stating that the emerald possesses a bright and intense green colour typical of high-quality emeralds. In addition, this exceptional gem exhibits a very high clarity, providing a superior degree of transparency Two reports nos. 1162030859 and 2155754221 dated 7 April 2014 and 13 November 2013 from the GIA Gemological Institute of America stating that the 3.03 and 3.02 carat diamonds are D colour, VS2 and VS1 clarity respectively, with excellent polish US$700,000-1,000,000
