Serial no. 609, .36 caliber. 6 1/2 inch tapered round barrel. Factory scroll-engraved frame, lever and gripstrap. Right side of framed marked Sharps & Co's/Rifle Works/Phila, Pa. Left side marked C. Sharps/Patent/1848. Figured walnut grips. Together with original black leather flap holster, the reverse sewn with wide belt loop. Condition: Very good. Barrel retains perhaps 50% thin blue finish with some patches of light pitting. Frame with grey metal showing generally sharp engraving, areas of light pitting and some wear to markings on left side. Excellent grips. Holster with surface crazing overall and with small tear and area of loss at edge of flap. See Illustration
