A RARE JADE ‘FACE MASK’ CONG LATE LIANGZHU CULTURE, CIRCA 3000-2500 BC The cong is of carved section surrounding a cylindrically hollowed tube to the centre with rounded square corners. The sides are carved with a stylised face mask at each of the four corners, compromising two long bars above a shorter bar and flanked by two incised circle forming the eyes. 3 in.
