A rare James II silver arm badge, possibly for a night watchman or constable, unmarked circa 1688, circular form, embossed with a representation of the seal of Scarborough, divided vertically in two, a tower on the left, a lymphad on the right, inscribed 'Ville de Scarburgte (sic)1688', the reverse with two ring attachments, diameter 8.5oz, approx. weight 1.3oz.
