A RARE LARGE IMPERIAL GILT-COPPER REPOUSSÉ ENAMEL DOUBLE-GOURD VASE AND COVER IMPRESSED QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95) Formed as a double gourd and decorated all over with a repoussé design of smaller double-gourds of light grey soapstone borne on scrolling tendrils, the leaves enamelled in shades of turquoise, deep blue and green, the star-shaped flowers enamelled in coral with blue and green details, all set against a ring-punched ground, supported on a ring foot decorated with a key-fret design in dark blue enamel, surmounted by a fitted cover with gnarled stem finial 27 in. (68.5 cm.) high

A RARE LARGE IMPERIAL GILT-COPPER REPOUSSÉ ENAMEL DOUBLE-GOURD VASE AND COVER IMPRESSED QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95) Formed as a double gourd and decorated all over with a repoussé design of smaller double-gourds of light grey soapstone borne on scrolling tendrils, the leaves enamelled in shades of turquoise, deep blue and green, the star-shaped flowers enamelled in coral with blue and green details, all set against a ring-punched ground, supported on a ring foot decorated with a key-fret design in dark blue enamel, surmounted by a fitted cover with gnarled stem finial 27 in.
