A RARE LARGE IMPERIAL JADE ARCHAISTIC VASE QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER FANGGU MARK INSCRIBED IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795) The vase is of flattened hu -shape. The thick-walled sides are each carved in low relief with intertwined ribbon-like bodies of three dragons interspersed with detached elements. The neck is flanked by a pair of dragon-head loop handles suspending loose rings and encircled by a plain lower band and an upper undulating band incorporating a ruyi head on each side. Further decorated with a related band and ruyi heads on the spreading foot, the semi-translucent stone of pale greenish-white colour with some opaque veining. 13 in. (33 cm.) high
