A RARE PAINTED PORTRAIT MINIATURE OF TITANIC SURVIVOR, ELSIE BOWERMAN, in Scottish Womens Hospital Uniform, circa 1915-1920. Elsie Bowerman was an early suffragette, surviving the Titanic in 1912, she went on to serve during the First World War with the Scottish Women's Hospital. Later, among many other achievements, became the first woman barrister at The Old Bailey. Else Bowerman's survival of The Titanic is well-documented. The well known Molly Brown, Frederick Fleet, the lookout who first saw the iceberg which sank the Titanic, and Quartermaster Robert Hitchens were on board no. 6 lifeboat along with Elsie Bowerman.
