A RARE SMALL RUSSET-BROWN-GLAZED LOBED JAR AND COVER NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY Of Ding type, the vertical sides with six evenly spaced indentations forming six lobes which rise to a plain, high shoulder surrounding the thin, slightly raised mouth rim, covered inside and out with a russet-skinned dark brown glaze falling short on the lower body above the foot rim to expose the buff-colored stoneware body, the rare cover similarly glazed and with a depressed center from which the knop rises 3 3/8in. (8.6cm.) high
