A REGENCE ORMOLU-MOUNTED AND BRASS-INLAID AMARANTH AND EBONY BUREAU PLAT AND CARTONNIER ATTRIBUTED TO ANDRE-CHARLES BOULLE, FIRST QUARTER 18TH CENTURY, THE CARTONNIER ASSOCIATED The rectangular gilt tooled red leather-lined top within a moulded ormolu edge, above a breakfront frieze fronted by three panelled drawers and three simulated drawers to the reverse, the central drawer mounted with a Bacchic mask escutcheon, the sides drawers with female mask escutcheons, the sides centred by a male and female mask respectively, the angles headed by satyr masks running into foliate sabots, surmounted by a rectangular cartonnier with four pigeon holes and scrolled sides centred by male masks, the cartonnier remounted and adapted 31 in.
