A Robinson's golly soft toy, printed features, vibrant coloured body, 44.5cm long sent to vendor following publication of a hand written poem, as follows On Countless tables he has stood To tell the world ''by Golly it Good'' and Grandmas know from by gone years Jam butties help to dry the tears Off tiny tots who love their golly and think he looks so very jolly and granddad too though he looks coy when young was called the greedy boy and neighbours came from near and far when his hand got stuck in a Robertson's jar for when you were a kid you ate the lot There's happiness in a Robertson's pot from Enid Blytons books he's gone but on Robertson's jam golly proudly stays on and we hope he stays on amongst the toys to gladden the hearts of girls and boys for young or old we should all be sorry to lose the sight of our well loved golly Mrs V Maxwell
