A ROMAN GOLD AND SARDONYX OVAL BROOCH, with gold 'sunburst' border, a hooked clasp on the reverse, 1¼in. (3.3cm.) long; and a large group of gold jewellery including a gold ring with oval garnet intaglio; another with circular glass intaglio; two sheet gold diadems, one with stamped decoration comprising a central Medusa head medallion flanked by fish, another showing a medallion with head of Athena and a hand, 10 5/8in. (27cm.) long; nineteen sheet gold rectangles, each with stamped ornament including a Medusa head medallion flanked by portrait heads, two others with Bes or Serapis-like heads, others with hands, Athena heads and a rosette; two tapering bone hair pins, 4½in. (11.5cm.) long; and a pair of gold earrings with domed disc and beaded pendants (beads replaced), all 2nd Century A.D., Eastern Mediterranean(a lot)
