A SAKYA THANGKA OF PADMASAMBHAVA, A NYNGMA THANGKA OF PADMASAMBHAVA, AND A THANGKA OF MAHAKALA TIBET 17TH CENTURY, THE MAHAKALA 15TH / 16TH CENTURY the first of the Sakya school finely drawn depicting the Indian saint with his two wifes Yesme Tsogyal and Mandarava together with Jambhala below, flanked by Sakya hierarchs with Marpa and Milarepa above and three further Sakya hierarchs in the upper register, the second of the Nyngma school depicting the Indian saint surrounded by lamas of the Nygma lineage, the third thangka depicting the Dharmapala Gurgyigompo typically crouching with bent knees and holding a knife and the kapala before his him 33 by 28 cm., 68.5 by 46 cm and 51 by 32 cm., 13 by 11 in., 27 by 18 1/8 in and 20 1/8 by 12 5/8 in.
