A SECTION OF AN EGYPTIAN PAPYRUS BOOK OF THE DEAD FOR DJEDKHONSEFANKH LATE PERIOD, 26TH DYNASTY, REIGN OF AMASIS, 570-526 B.C. Comprising of two fragments from the lower edge, not of contiguous text, written in black and red ink, the smaller fragment reading, "the Great God, that which I have done," the larger fragment containing the Book of the Dead Chapters 72 and 73, with excerpts reading: "in]cense and oil and all good, pure things on which a god lives, that I may be established as/in any form that I wish, that I might fare downstream in the Fields of Reeds and that I might sail upstream in the Fields of Offerings” and "O Bas Great of Majesty! Behold, I am come that I might see you, that I might open up the Duat, that I might see his father Osiris...(That) I have come (is) that I might see his father Osiris...I have opened every road which are [sic] in heaven and which are [sic] in the earth, I am a well-beloved son of my father," the left-hand partial column ends, "True of Voice/Justified...the Lady of the West” Larger fragment: 9 7/8 in.
