A set of four famille-rose plaques Qing dynasty, 19th century each of rectangular form, finely painted with lively garden scenes of figures engaged in various leisurely pursuits, one depicting the 'Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove' playing a game of weiqi, another with scholars seated at a rockwork table composing poetry, one showing the 'Three Star Gods' examining a scroll, and the last with a maiden seated in a pavilion overlooking three drunken sages eating and drinking wine while being waited upon by two servants, all within pierced wooden frames with metal scroll mounts (4) approx. 10 1/8 by 15 in., 25.7 by 38 cm
