A SET OF FOUR GEORGE II SALTS, TWO GEORGE III CREAM-JUGS AND A PAIR OF FRENCH SILVER-GILT ALTER-CRUETS, the salts by Edward Wood, London, 1743, each compressed circular on three hoof feet, with molded rim-- 2¼in. (5.7cm.) diam. ; the first cream-jug, London, 1785, probably by Hester Bateman , baluster, on spreading circular foot, the body chased flowerhead and foliage between punched beads, the front with vacant wreath cartuche, with punched beaded rim, with scroll handle-- 5in. (12.7cm.) high ; the other marks worn, similar, engraved with crest, with flying scroll handle-- 4½in. (11.4cm.) high ; the cruets, Paris, 1789 ; jug-form, on raised circular foot, with long scroll handle-- 5½in. (13.9cm.) high, 20oz. (8)
