A set of four George III silver-gilt candlesticks Mark of John Scofield London, 1780 Each on circular base and with shaped stem chased with palm leaves and fluting, with beaded, scroll and foliage borders and partly-fluted vase-shaped sockets with detachable nozzles, engraved with a coat-of-arms within husk festoons and a crest, each marked under foot-rim and on nozzle 11¾in. (29.8cm.) high 75oz. (2,359gr.) The arms are probably those of Lester impaling Corser (4)
