A SET OF FOUR LOUIS XVI GILT WALNUT FAUTEUILS BY CLAUDE I SENE, CIRCA 1780, THE TAPESTRY PROBABLY BEAUVAIS Each with an arched rectangular back, padded arms and seat covered in close-nailed tapestry depicting flowering torches, musical attributes and laurel-wreathed bow-tied hats, the guilloche -carved back with foliate finials, above foliate-wrapped arms and curved supports, and a conformingly-carved seatrail, on turned tapering fluted legs headed by rosette paterae and terminating in toupie feet, stamped 'G.SENE' 37½ in.
