A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE EWER PROBABLY WEST IRAN, 13TH CENTURY The rounded body with flared cylindrical neck on trumpet foot, the shoulder with slightly raised radiating pattern, with applied straight spout and loop handle with various bosses, the main decorative register of the body with inlaid figural roundels each depicting seated musicians, between each of these four vertical silver-inlaid bands with faces against a background of meandering vine, the neck and base with further delicately inlaid scrolling foliate motifs, repairs with some restoration including to silver inlay 13 3/8in. (34cm.) high
