A SILVER PHOTO FRAME, embossed and chased with a ground of rose-bunches and with interlacing laurel-wreaths on high relief forming a Star of David, the six points each pierced with a small circular reserve, the centre with a bigger one, each containing a photo of a member of the prominent Jewish family Glück from Copenhagen, featuring Mrs. Gusta Glück surrounded by her four daughters, her son and her son in law Tuvia (Theo) Cohn, the central photo encircled by a beaded border and a presentation inscription in Hebrew for Mr. Bernhard Glück on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday, dated Copenhagen, 26 Tevet 1931, all mounted on a detachable velvet lined board with hinged support at the back, by B. Griegst, Copenhagen, 1931 26.7 cm high Barukh Shelomo Griegst (1889-1958), a Jewish Danish silversmith, had a workshop in Copenhagen, where amongst other things, he made Jewish ceremonial objects, of which mostly only one piece or a limited number exists and of which some are now still in use in the Synagogue of Copenhagen. This photo frame was evidently made especially by Griegst at the request of the Glück family. For other works by B.
