A SMALL CARVED YAOZHOU CELADON DISH NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127) The dish has shallow rounded base and upturned sides, encircled on the exterior by a single incised line. The flat interior centre is deftly carved and combed with a bold design of turbulent waves, and covered overall with an attractive olive-green glaze suffused with fine crackles, stopping neatly in a circle around the unglazed, recessed centre of the base, exposing the grey body. 5 in.
