A SMALL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL 'LOTUS POND' BASIN 17TH CENTURY With gently rounded sides rising to a broad rim, the interior enamelled with two ducks swimming in a pond inhabited by fish, all beneath cranes in flight and lotus scrolls, the cavetto with four horses galloping over crashing waves, the wide rim with lotus and chrysanthemum blooms, the exterior left plain 12 in. (31 cm.) diam.
