A SMALL-SWORD with blade of hollow triangular section etched at the forte with rococo scrollwork, faceted steel hilt with oval shell (incomplete) decorated with a star in cut-steel studs, and wire-bound grip, in original shagreen-covered scabbard (damaged) with steel trouser-clip with suspension chains; another, similar, the blade etched throughout with fleur-de-lys and olive sprays, the studded steel hilt with pointed oval shell (broken in two), both late 18th Century; and two foils, the blades stamped 'Solingen', the cast iron hilts with double-wreath guards, and helmeted pommels, 19th Century The first 29½in. blade (4)
