A substantial early Victorian country house rosewood combination barometer and timepiece, 30cm silvered register, brass hands inscribed Today and Yesterday, 14cm convex clock dial inscribed Nelmes, King Street, Bloomsbury, 1842, silvered hygrometer, alcohol thermometer, the well-figured case with swan neck pediment, level to base, 118.5cm high, dated 1842 Robert Nelmes was in business at this address primarily as a clockmaker 1828-1844.
