A vellum bound account book for Alfred Jones in account with messrs. Cox .C. 16/17 Charring Cross S.W. commencing 1897 through to 1906, the very fine cased bronze Francis Fowke memorial medal, the edge officially engraved 'A.Jones Corporal R.E. 1878, the obverse with a relief bust of fowke, the reverse detailing the establishment of the medal as an architectural prize in the corps, three carte-de-visite photographs of Jones as a Q.M. Sergeant, a fine cased cigar holder of amber and meerschaum with a central band of silver engraved 'Presented to Q.M. Sgt Jones RE by the Members of the Sgts Mess. D.C.L.I. as a mark of respect', together with a soldier's 'small-book' in the name of Pte Jones. A.R. 4482 3rd/7th R. Warwickshire Regiment, for 1915, Jones a Civil Engineer was the son of Capt. A. Jones.
