A VERY FINE & LITTLE USED PAIR OF 12-BORE 'GAME CONSERVANCY ROYAL' HAND-DETACHABLE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTORS HOLLAND & HOLLAND, 33 BRUTON STREET, LONDON, SERIAL NOS. 40859/60, DATED '1987' With blacked chopperlump barrels signed in full on the tubes and engraved with a spray of foliage and respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold on the rib, signed actions engraved 'THE GAME CONSERVANCY 1987' on ribbons framing a partridge, toplevers respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', locks with blued pins and gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, rolled-edge trigger-guards with gold-inlaid serial numbers, well figured 14 ½ in. stocks, fore-end tips respectively numbered '1' and '2' in gold, engraved throughout with fine acanthus foliage against a matt ground, and gold escutcheons engraved with the initials 'RB', in maker's leather motor case, the lid initialled 'R.B.', and canvas and leather outer 28 in. (71 cm.) nitro barrels, 2 ¾ in. chambers, bored approx. ¼ & ½ choke. 6 lbs. 10 oz.
